Samuel Kerridge (LIVE)
[Berlin]
(Downwards, Blueprint Records, Horizontal Ground)

Not just another Berlin techno DJ.
Kerridge creates “huges slabs of music” closer to the devastating quake of Sunn O))) than your usual club-fodder. Perhaps the key figurehead of Berlin's progressive scene, Sam runs the CONTORT event series. These free day-time events focus on the more experimental side of electronic music. Contort has now developed into a record label “supporting artists to stand alone and to be individual”, with Kerridge's new 'Always Offend Never Ashamed' being the inaugural release. This album and subsequent live shows see the use of Sam's own vocals and live guitar become more prominent in the mix.
Kerridge is the perfect follow-up act to our last St. Thomas session with Roly Porter.
His vast sound should go down well with fans of The Haxan Cloak, Regis,RaimeIke Yard & Emptyset.

“Kerridge re-casts techno as a sensuous, murky throb, overwhelming the listener with waves of sub-bass and metallic ambiance drawn from doom metal and post-punk.”
The Quietus

“Kerridge pull together droning swamps of noise, ten-tonne percussion and drowning seas of bass into just under an hour of relentless turbulence. Everything you’d expect from one of electronic musics most unclassifiable producers. “
Crack Magazine

“One of techno’s most unique voices”

Ekoplekz
[Bristol]
(Planet Mu, Mordant Music, Punch Drunk, Perc Trax)

Nick Edwards aka Ekoplekz is simply one of the best 'table-top electronica' acts around.
Active in this world since the early 90s, it was only with his involvement with the legendary Gutterbreakz blog and the rise of dubstep in the mid-00's that Nick was welcomed into anything like a scene, albeit as a definite anomaly.

His hardware productions are indebted to the contrasting worlds of; German kosmische explorers of the 70s like Cluster & Harmonia, 80s industrial/post-punk pioneers such as Cabaret Voltaire & Coil, the 90s braindance producers a la Aphex Twin & µ-Ziq and the 21st century dub and bass-wranglings of Bristol veterans like Peverelist and Pinch.

He has previously collaborated and released work with other anomalies such as Bass Clef, Baron Mordant, Shackleton and Wanda Group.

Stara Rzeka
[Poland]
(Instant Classic)

Very pleased to announce the enigmatic Stara Rzeka will perform for us. I've managed to arrange his debut UK tour; 6 dates up & down the country culminating with his performance in the church.

Truly one of the most exciting acts I've come across in the last few years, his unique vision of marrying disparate elements such as “folk with black metal, drone, kosmische and magic brutalism” is really something you need to hear.

This year he has been involved in live collaborations with legendary minimalist guitarist Richard Pinhas (Heldon), as well as remixing electro-acoustic/percussion artist X-NAVI:ET alongside Z'EV, Rapoon and PURE.

Giant Swan
[Bristol]
(Howling Owl, Qu Junktions]

“Giant Swan is the errant sibling of Bristol psych miscreants The Naturals, and involves the guitar half of said band nurturing industrial techno, passages of heavy, blissed out drone and a shared love of repetition.”

“Hazy noise-into-thunderous anti-club music”
The Quietus

A collaboration between two geographically disparate but sonically-bound entities. Salford-based Tesla Tapes are "an outlet for musical projects and meanderings by GNOD-heads past, present & future and friends of Gnod all over the world.”

AHRKH VS. KHOM (A/V set)
[Salford]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eNHiDzoBSU

AHRKH is the project of A.P Macarte, current member of Salford noise collective GNOD and former member of sludge heavy weights Manatees. Drawing influence from drone music, such as artists like La Monte Young, Yoshi Wada and Elaine Radigue, as well as Mediation, Eastern philosophy, Tarot and mysticism.
AHRKH, aims to explore the relationship between sound, vision & meditative states, using slow burning vocal loops, drone manipulations, rhythmic pulses and various sounds to create scoping deserted internal panoramas of brooding, devotional mindscape mantras.
KHOM is the live visual project of photographer James Robinson, a project born in early 2013 in Manchester. By using a variety of found and recorded footage, 3D and 2D effects and filters, the aim of the project is to collaborate with a variety of musicians spanning genres to create a much more immersive live experience. The process relies heavily on improvisation, basic ideas are formed, then as the performance goes on, the visual aspect becomes more of a response to the music.
AHRKH & KHOM have performed a number commissioned pieces together including a piece at Manchester Art Gallery as part of Turner Prize winning artists Jeremy Deller's 'All That is Solid Melts Into Air exhibition', a collaboration with electro-acoustic artist Sam Weaver in "ПОТЕРЯЛИ КОСМОНАВТ. LOST COSMONAUT" as part of FATOUT FEST 2014.

A beautiful man and his beautiful, solemn music. Original minimalist compositions for organ and harmonium. They fizz and they hum, they bring you down and they build you up. Debut tape was released on ZZ in November.
