Event Details

Set sail with us on a voyage of comedic discovery on the good ship Grain Barge. We have a swarthy crew of first rate shipmates, and a fine captain in the form of the hilarious Stephanie Laing.

Goofy and peculiar, Stephanie’s comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.

‘Quirky and wacky with loads of charm. One to watch.’ Noel Faulkner, Comedy Cafe
‘Fresh attitude, surprisingly different, nothing stereotypical. A must see!’ Nick Steel, Bath Comedy Festival

Rounding out our crew will be:

Martin Pilgrim: Powder monkey, Google street map enthusiast and sometime Bristol 24/7 columnist. "Adept and funny" - the Guardian

Brendan Common: A cross between Noel Fielding, the Crow and John Snow (both), expect darkly astute observations from his lofty position in the Crow's Nest.

Tim Goodings: The ship's resident poet. This guy won't steer us wrong with his wheel-y wonderful way with words.

£5 entry, see you there.
